“Shaila Khan facilitated a wellness workshop for my ESL faculty during the thick of the pandemic in February 2021. I was looking for someone who could teach us some mindfulness exercises to reduce stress and anxiety. Shaila did just that in 20 minutes. Even though the workshop was done virtually, we were all able to feel Shaila’s warm, calm and gentle presence. The faculty told me they felt relaxed after the workshop and that they were able to focus on their own well-being for a change rather than on everyone else around them. In May 2022, I welcomed Shaila back to our institution to run another workshop for a community event. She did a stellar job of nurturing a feeling of serenity and peace among the attendees.
